Nato a Napoli nel 1963, è istruttore subacqueo e fotografo professionista. Inizia subito la sua attività professionale e, nel 1984, si trasferisce per un lungo periodo alle Maldive dove lavora come istruttore. Contemporaneamente apre a Sorrento uno dei primi Diving Center in Italia, alternando le sue stagioni lavorative tra il Mediterraneo e l’Oceano Indiano. Nel 1991 fonda la Diving Tour, un piccolo Tour Operator specializzato in destinazioni subacquee in tutto il mondo. Negli anni successivi effettua viaggi subacquei a tutte le latitudini, dal polo nord al polo sud, dalle acque dolci alle salate, osservando e fotografando attentamente luoghi e specie animali sia sopra che sotto la superfice dell’acqua. Il suo archivio fotografico conta oltre 100.000 immagini, la maggior parte delle quali subacquee. Oggi Sergio dirige “Photography Expeditions”, un Tour operator specializzato in viaggi fotografici subacquei e naturalistici in tutto il mondo, sempre alla ricerca di nuove destinazioni e mete da esplorare e proporre, senza mai trascurare il mare di casa sua, il primo grande amore della sua vita.

Born in Naples in 1963, he is a diving instructor and professional photographer. He began his professional activity immediately and, in 1984, he moved for a long period to Maldives where he worked as a diving instructor. At the same time, he opened in Sorrento one of the first diving centers in Italy, alternating his working seasons between the Mediterranean Sea and the Indian Ocean. In 1991 he founded the Diving Tour, a small Tour Operator specialized in diving destinations all over the world. In the following years he made underwater trips to all latitudes, from the north pole to the south pole, from fresh to salt water, carefully observing and photographing places and animal species both above and below the surface of the water. His photographic archive has over 100,000 images, most of them taken under the water.
Today Sergio directs “Photography Expeditions”, a tour operator specialized in underwater and naturalistic photographic trips all over the world, always looking for new destinations to explore and propose, without never forgetting the Mediterranean sea, the first great love of his life.
